We are the wealthiest country maybe ever. We are afforded things that no one else in history has had. And yet, there are still those who go to bed hungry. I thought about that a lot in these psalms.
49:7, "Wealth? It can't save a single person! It can't pay a life's ranson-price to God!"
50:3, "Our God is coming, he won't keep silent"
Yet, we keep silent. We keep still.
What can we do in our abundance to help those in need? Where can we be in mission--in our community? In our world? In our homes? Who needs what you have today?
Who do you need to be helping? God won't keep silent--will you?
Blessings--

I love the first verse of Psalm 50; The Might One, God, the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets. From Zion, perfect in beauty God shines forth.
It is so easy to forget that God is in charge of everything. What a beautiful reminder!
