Everyone!

I don't know if its just me, but right now everyone seems to be fighting.  We are fighting against or for Chic-Fil-a.  For or against the US in the Olympics.  For or against the President or Mr. Romney.  For or against this issue or that one.

I wonder what Christ is thinking about us.  I'm not sure that he's very proud.  Are we fighting for real issues, or just fighting.  This Psalm hit me today.

"Who is like the Lord our God,
   who is seated on high,
who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust,
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!"

God is with everyone.  God is with the poor and the needy.  The rich.  The foolish and the wise. The scorned and the scorner.  God is with everyone--so why are we so worried about picking sides?

I want to be on God's side--with his people.  Loving everyone.

Blessings--
Pastor Emily

I like the picture of God far above us, bending over to see us. God picking up His children that others have thrown to the dust and seating them with those we think are so important.
114- The people remember God's great acts, just like we remember Christ's death and resurrection.
God is on our side!
