Finally!!!

Two Psalms without smiting!!!  So excited.

I love the way Psalms 65 and 66 talk about the amazing things God has done for us.  Calming the seas.  Dressed in Raw Power.  Providing us water.

But I'm struck in Psalm 66 by the Psalmist wanting to share the stories.  66:5 "Come and see God's deeds; his works for human beings are awesome."  66:16 "Come close and listen up, all who honor God; I will tell you what God has done for me!"

Who was the last person you shared your story with?  The reasons why God is important to you?  You story? Lets go out and tell the world.  They will listen--but will we tell them?

Blessings!

65-9 on talks about God's care for the earth by sending rain. During our trip to our family in Iowa the past few days I saw the crops pale and withering from the lack of rain turn beautiful dark green and healthy after the rain.
Rain down on us Lord and let us witness to all You have done for us!

I have loved writing my devotions because this is the way I can share with everyone what our mighty God has done for me.
Blessings!

Beautiful pictures of God's love for us through his amazing works. While there is no smiting... there is still testing--"For you, O God tested us; you refined us like silver." We are of course ever in need of work and teaching.
